The islands of Brehat

  • From the Breton’s name Enez Vriad, the island of Brehat is probably the most famous island of Côtes d’Armor. For administration, it’s a part of the city of Paimpol and has about 400 inhabitants in an area of 309 ha.
  • The climate is very mild, it is one of the most flowery islands of France, hence its nickname of “flower island”.

  • There are about a hundred islands and islets all around. The main one groups in fact two islands (The north and the south ones) and the link is made by a stone bridge. Along your walk, you’ll discover contemporary villas that blend the old low houses with thatched roofs, leading by narrow paths with many small coves that surround the island.The motor vehicules are prohibited (except tractors), and the best way to discover this fabulous nature is to rent a bycicle
